Employment Benefits
The City of McCleary provides a full benefit package for employees, paid fully by the City. Benefits are offered for family members as well, with some out of pocket for the employee as listed below. Additional optional benefits are offered to be paid by the employee if they so wish.
The City has three union contracts that also provide benefits according to the position.
Administration, Utilities, Public Works (IBEW Contract and Teamsters Contract Employees):
Medical: AWC Benefit Trust - Plan Helathfirst 250 (15% employee cost for dependents coverage)
Dental, Vision: Teamsters Plan A (dependents are fully covered at no cost to employee)
Life Insurance and Long Term Disability: AWC Benefit Trust (City paid)
Retirement: PERS 2 or 3 (WA State DRS)
Police Department Employees (FOP Contract):
Medical, Dental, Vision: LEOFF Health Trust (15% employee cost for dependents coverage)
Retirement: LEOFF II (WA State DRS)
Optional for all employees: (paid by employees)
