JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
FULL-TIME CITY CLERK

The City of McCleary, situated 15 miles west of Olympia with an approximate population of 1834, seeks a City Clerk. This is a permanent, full-time position. Current salary range is $6,878.75 – $7,742.06, depending upon qualifications.  Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, PERS retirement and deferred compensation match up to 1% of the annual salary. The Clerk-Treasurer is primarily responsible for the City’s financial organization, payroll, human resources, and official records and proceedings, as well as management of the 2-person Clerk’s Office. Anticipated growth and increase to population within the next decade make the position of City Clerk an exciting opportunity for a person with experience. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, plus demonstrated management experience is desirable. Strong experience with finance is required. Experience in Springbrook Express a strong plus.
