Public Works Planning Assistant 

The City of McCleary, situated 15 miles west of Olympia with an approximate population of 2,000, seeks a Public Works Planning Assistant. This is a permanent, full-time, non-exempt position and covered under the IBEW Union Contract. Current salary range is $4,591-$5,070, depending upon qualifications.  Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, PERS retirement and deferred compensation match up to 1% of the annual salary. Paid vacation and sick leave is also included. The Public Works Planning Assistant is an entry-level position that performs administrative support work for all public works operations, functions and programs.  This includes permitting, code enforcement and clerical duties.
